About the Department:
          

The department of Civil Engineering at SJCET was started in the year 2009. The department has qualified and committed faculty, enthusiastic students and well equipped laboratories and library facilities.
The academic activities of the Department emphasis on deep understanding of fundamental concepts, development of creative ability to handle the challenges of Civil Engineering, and the analytical ability to solve problems.
The teaching learning process involves classroom lecturers, laboratory demonstrations, use of models and charts, industrial visits and expert lectures from industry and academia.
The department is in the process of setting up laboratories in the areas of Transportation Engineering, Environmental Engineering and Structural Engineering.
