About the Department:

            The Department of Computer Science and Engineering was started at SJCET in the year 2003. The department of Computer Science and Engineering at SJCET has a set of well qualified and experienced faculty with state of the art laboratories to meet the quality education required for present challenging social and industrial needs.
       The department has around 250 students and about 20 teaching staff and 3 non teaching staff. The total intake of students is 60 each every year. The first batch passed out in the year 2006.The students are not only trained in academic excellence but are also encouraged to acquire industry exposure through in-plant training sessions to be in the vanguard of pioneering dexterity .The department now possesses full staff strength as per the AICTE norms.

      The department takes initiative in conducting co-curricular and extracurricular activities along with the academics. Core facilities such as fully fledged common computer center, internet lab, seminar halls, library, and audio & video exhibits are available in the department to give the academic program the required thrust.

        The Department of Computer Science and Engineering has set up a library to support the students as well as the staffs in their academic purpose. There are 650 books available in the department Library. Also the library has a large collection of CD's,Seminar Reports,Project Reports,Journals,Monograph etc.
