To undertake software development works from external agencies and provide best quality services in time. The cell may also undertake college related computerization works.

Organization hierarchy (Model of administration and Management):
A faculty team will guide the centre in all activities. The total administration of the cell will be under this team. The organization structure is given below.

Types of Projects Undertaken

Software Development Centre will undertake projects from inside and outside the campus. The rule set for both will be different. Both categories contain 3 types of works as given below.

Procedure

The staff concerned should submit an application form verified by the head of Department/Section at the software Development Centre office. Guidance and monitoring cell will verify the request and will do a requirement analysis with the help of PM. If feasible the market value of the product will be calculated and a rate lesser than the market value will be fixed for the product/solution. If the rate is acceptable for the client SDC will give the proposed completion date and the list of features that will be added in the solution. After the completion of the project a detailed report along with the copy of the request will be handed over to the client.

External Projects

The client should contact the software Development Centre and should submit an application form along with list of requirements at the SDC office either by hand/post or email. After submission monitoring cell will do a first stage requirement analysis and feasibility study of the project. If feasible a report along with rate details will be forwarded to the client. If the rate and conditions are acceptable for the client the project work will start. The client should make 1/4 of the payment before starting the project, second 1/4 at the time of completion of design, and the rest 1/2 at the time of completion of the project.
