ADVANCES IN IMAGE PROCESSING

The Departments of AE& I and CSE jointly organized a Short Term Training Programme on "Advances in Image Processing " from 20th to 26th Nov 2009.This course presents the theory and practice of digital image processing with MATLAB. Numerous examples and practical hands-on exercises are included. One major topic of image processing is covered in every lecture, typically consisting of a discussion of the basic theoretical concepts and some examples illustrating practical imaging problems. The lectures provide a practical learning experience.

YOU AND YOUR RESEARCH

Faculty Training Programme on 04th July 2009

For the staff members of Computer Science and Engineering department, Computer Science & Engineering association has organized a one day training programme  on "YOU AND YOUR RESEARCH" by Mr. Vinod Chandra S.S, Professor in MCA Department  at College of Engineering, Trivandrum on 04th July 2009

 

During the presentation he stressed the importance of Reserch in Academics and  important informations about how to select  a new  research  area, guidelines for preparing papers and importance of publishing papers in various National and International journals. Also he discussed about the various "Research Methodologies".


ABOUT  DOTNET FRAMEWORK 
Workshop for S5 Computer Science Students on 4th Aug 2009

K-MUG, kerela Microsoft users group conducted a workshop for S5 computer science students on dotnet framework on 04 Aug-2009. This program was organized by the Computer Science department, for the students, with a focus to give a clear-cut idea about the dotnet platform and the possibilities for their mini project.

 

Mr. Raj Nair and Mr. Hafees, representatives of K-MUG group stressed on how the dotnet platform is dominating over other platforms, with help of a few slides. They also explained about various dotnet technologies such as ASP, C# and VB. By this program, the students could improve their view on dotnet platform.  


Linux Networking and System Administration
Short Term Training programme from 9th - 12th December 2008

 The department of Computer Science and Engineering, in association with CSEA and CSI, conducted a four day short term training program on "Linux Networking and System Administration"  from 9th December 2008 to 12th December 2008. The training is delivered by experienced Red Hat trainer from IPSR.

 

In this we covered topics like Red Hat Linux Installation, Basics of Linux, Linux System Administration and Linux Networking & Security Administration.There were twenty three external participants from various colleges across Kerala and twenty two internal participants from various departments.  The training program was co-ordinated by Kishore Sebastian (Staff-in-charge CSI Chapter) and Linta P Joseph (Staff-in-charge CSEA).


  Professional Excellence
One day Faculty Training programme on June 10th  2009

The department of Computer Science and Engineering, in association with CSEA and CSI, conducted a one day training program on "Professional Excellence" on 10th June 2009. The training is delivered by the experienced trainer Mr.Jose Karunakkal.There were twenty external participants from various colleges across Kerala and twelve internal participants from various departments.

 

During the training, we came to know that Professional excellence should be the goal of every true professional. Cultivate the habit of doing-it-right every time. Although rewards may be slow to come by, the process itself can teach you much in terms of patience and consistency.
In this training programme, we have gained a comprehensive and proven set of professional skills that helps you stay focused, work effectively with colleagues, develop your networks and expertise, and build your reputation for delivering results. The Programme was open to faculty members of CSE, IT, ECE, EE, ME, CE, MCA and MBA of all engineering colleges in concerned or allied discipline.
