Staff Club

SJCET launched a staff club for the welfare of teaching and other supporting staff in this college. They arrange programmes to develop synergy, teamwork, research oriented mind etc in our young motivated talented group of faculty members.

We have arranged South Indian Tour programs to the famous tourist places like Kodaikanal, Ootty, Munnar, Theni, Kambam, Mysore, Coimbatore and Vagamon every year . Annual get together of the family members of staff is organized in the college Auditorium on second Saturday of August every year.

Mathematics Club

A Mathematics club was formed with the intention of inculcating interest in Mathematics with special emphasis on Engg. Applications. All students up to fifth semester students are members of this club. The inauguration of Mathematics club was on 13th Feb 2004 by Sri. Varghese Joshua, Lecturer C. M.S. College Kottayam. In connection with that a Mathematics Quiz competition was conducted. Ajish Zacharias and Kevin Koshy won the first prize The purpose of the Mathematics Club is to engage students in activities outside the classroom which have a basis in the field of mathematics. Cooperation between students, faculty, and the community will allow the exploration of mathematics minds at SJCET.The Mathematics Club is not merely for juniors and seniors. Rather, the Mathematics Club is for students who have an interest in mathematics and who want to be involved in activities that help them learn more about mathematics, mathematical applications, and potential mathematical careers.

SJCET Quiz Club

The quiz club in SJCET was formed in 2003 with the aim of inculcating a desire for general knowledge and know-how in students. It was formally inaugurated on 12th March 2004 by Dr. Ruble Raj, a prominent mathematician from S B College, Changanacherry. A quiz competition called Josephine quiz was also held on the same day. Since then the club has been prompt in training students to tackle various competitions and as a result, the students to tackle various competitions and as a result, the students of SJCET have been actively participating in various quiz competitions.

Literary Club

The sole purpose of the club is to cater the needs of the students and also to develop their interest in literature and language. The Literary Club of our college has been started with the sole purpose to encourage our students to develop a taste for literature and also work towards improving their spoken as well as written language The Literary Club of SJCET is involved in a variety of activities aimed at building up the confidence and grooming the talents of students in facing various interpersonal activities and competitions. The Club has initiated activities like group discussion extempore and essay writing to enhance the speech and oratorical skills of students.

Women historically have been under- presented in scientific and technical fields. omen have been given limited educational opportunities and have been excluded from professional societies and publications until close to the end of last century.To set the fire of 'the desire to win' in young women's hearts, SJCET has formally inaugurated her 'Women In Development Cell', WID on November 2004.

With the blessings of Almighty and the auspicious presence of Miss Mary Metilda, Professor of Maharaja's College, Ernakulam WID have began its mission to promote and support the advancement of women in development profession. It seeks to empower women as decision maker, to achieve economic, social and gender justice, a healthy, peaceful planet.

AIM OF THE CLUB: To provide all sorts of technical assistance and support service to students for developing new concepts and products and thereby ensure that innovation is a part of quality education.
VISION OF THE CLUB: Engineering education lacks practical orientation because of the absence of opportunities to develop new products during the course. If this can be solved in the campus itself, the transformation of a student into a professional will be explosive.
