Report sports club 2009
For the academic year 2008-2009 the sports club was inaugurated with the election of the new office bearers. Mr Rahulmon K.C (S7 AE&I) was designated as the sports club secretary. We had a commendable performance both in and out of the college.
- Participated in the south zone shuttle badminton competition at K.G College,Pampady
- Our team secured second place and qualified for the inter zone competitions with team members Tony Alex(S5 AE&I), Renin Wilson(S3 AE&I), Josekutty (S7 CS), Sam Chacko (S3 CS) & Jobin K John (S5 ME).
- Participate in the inter zone badminton competition held at Rama Varma College,Thiruvalla.
- Our college has bagged the 3rd place
- Participated in the MGU inter zone lawn tennis tournament
- College Team members are Arun Thomas (S5 ME), Kiran Davis (S5 AE&I), George K Tomy(S5 AE&I) & Mr Tony Alex of our college has selected as a member of the lawn tennis team
- Mr Bibin Thomas as a member of university water polo team.
- Participated in all Kerala intercollegiate twenty-twenty championship held at F.I.S.A.T, Angamaly.
- Secured the 1ST Runner up with team members Kiran Davis, Faseeh K.T, Athul Jose, Shiju Zacharias, Jedev Menon, Gyril Abraham,Mithun S, Sreekanth, Joseph George,Jomon, Roshan Thomas, Sam.
- Kiran Davis (S5 AE&I) was awarded as the "Best player of the FISAT T20" tournament.
- Participated in the intercollegiate football tournament held at Model Engineering College, Thrikkakara
- Our team members are Kiran Davis, Faseeh K.T, Jedev Menon, Gyril Abraham, George K Tomy, Jobin K John, Harish M, Joseph George, Hassan Kutty, Bijoy, Abin, S Subin, Jino Sebastin.
We had also conducted Yoga and meditation classes for the holistic development of the first year students. The annual sports and games of our college have been stated with a football match on 11th february 2009. Following the first event; we have organized other games in the evening after the regular classes. The annual sports day was held on 10th march 2009 being inaugurated by Mr. C.V Pappachen, international football player. The flag hoisting of the programme was done by our beloved principal Dr. .J Joseph and the chief guest was received the Salute o f the march past."Knight riders" is the overall champions of the sports and games. The individual champions are Shiju Zacharias(S5 EEE) and Merlin Zacharias(S7 AE&I).
