Computer Society of India (CSI)

Computer society of India established in the year 1965 is today the largest IT professionals Society in India. The purposes of the Society are scientific and educational directed towards the advancement of the theory and practice of computer science, computer engineering and technology, systems science and engineering, information processing and related arts and sciences.

 

             A CSI chapter is functioning in the college as a professional society for CS students exclusively. This student's chapter under the faculty advisor Mr.Kishore Sebastian and student counselor, is organizing various programmes for the students from its inception. BLITZKRIEG was the major event organized under the auspicious of CSI in coordination with CSEA. This chapter is affiliated to the Trivandrum chapter of CSI and Prof. S. Krishnankutty (HOD, Electrical, and College of Engineering Trivandrum) is giving the valuable suggestion for all our activities.

            Monthly subscription of the chapter magazine is send to all registered members by the headquarters and this in turn may help the students in acquiring knowledge about the things happening in the revolutionary IT filed.   This chapter is aiming at more events which may enhance the qualities required for a software engineer.

At SJCET the CSI chapter organizes several National Seminars,Workshops,Exhibitions,Training Programmes for students,Faculty development programmes etc.



A member of the Computer Society of India (CSI) shall:
- organise the resources available to him and optimise these in attaining the objectives of his organisation.
- not misuse his authority or office for personal gains.
- comply with the Indian laws relating to the management of his organisation and operate within the spirit of these laws.
- conduct his affairs so as to uphold, project and further the image and reputation of the CSI.
- maintain integrity in research and publications
