| Staff Selection |
| The following procedure is followed for staff selection. |
- All staff vacancies are advertised in two newspapers (one English and one Malayalam) at an All India level.
- The applications received will be tabulated and all eligible candidates will then be called for interview by a S election Committee.
- For teaching posts, the candidates will be required to teach a given topic for about 10 minutes to assess the teaching aptitude and ability.
- For laboratory posts, a practical test also will be conducted in addition to the interview.
- Candidates are selected strictly based on the performance at the interview, academic qualifications ,experience and positive attitude.
- Selection memos will be sent to the selected candidates depending on the number of vacancies.
- Others will be kept in the waiting list to be appointed later when vacancies arise.
- The candidates will be first put on probation for a period of three months after the satisfactory completion of which their services will be regularized.

A code of conduct is insisted for all faculty members and other staff and they have to follow them strictly. |
Staff Training |
No staff member will be allowed to teach without undergoing training on Teaching Methodology of one to two weeks duration conducted by the Kerala Section of Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE). For teachers who join in the middle of the year, a short intensive training will be given by the college on teaching methodology. During summer break, they will be sent for detailed training programmes conducted by the Kerala Section of ISTE. |
In addition, training on conducting practical classes will be given to concerned faculty either by deputing them to reputed colleges to undergo a laboratory training programme or by arranging in house-training by expert teachers brought from well established colleges. Staff members will also be allowed to visit other colleges and their laboratories, as needed. Regular lectures are also being arranged for the faculty by eminent teachers.

Faculty members are required to get regular feedback from the students regarding their teaching effectiveness. The Heads of Departments are also expected to watch the teaching effectiveness of the teachers in the department and advise them from time to time on improving the teaching.

Staff Upgradation |
Staff members will be deputed to undergo higher studies like M.Tech. and Ph. D. after they have completed two years of service in the college. |
| Staff members are also being deputed for the following with full expenses met from the college: |
- Presenting papers in national and international conferences conducted within India.
- Attending short term training programmes conducted in India
- Attending national and state level conventions of ISTE

Every staff member is required to fill up a Performance Appraisal Form prescribed by the AICTE detailing their teaching and other activities during the year. All promotions, deputations and other benefits are based on the performance appraisal report of the candidate. |
The college strength will be around 2000 students by 2010 and 2500 by 2015.
