The SJCET Alumni association has the following objectives:

• To strengthen the professional networking among alumni.
• To work for the betterment of the college and its members.
• To provide a forum for discussion of common-interest issues.
• To encourage, promote and facilitate education, research and other activities of the Institute
• To be a source of information about the current activities goings-on SJCET
• To organize and establish scholarship funds to help the needy and deserving students.
• To promote and foster mutually beneficial interaction between the Alumni and the present students of the Institute and between the Alumni themselves.
• To invest and deal with the funds and moneys of the Association.

            ALUMNI MEET -2008 REPORT

  The ALUMNI of SJCET meets for the second time on 27th December 2008 to spend a few hours in the beloved scenic campus of SJCET. The meeting was inaugurated by Rev. Msgr. Philip Njaralakkatt, Vicar General of Palai diocese and manger of the college. Dr. C J Joseph President ALUMNI association and Principal of our college delivered the welcome speech. Mr. Bobin Joseph P, Treasurer Alumni association gave a short report of the activities of the ALUMNI association for the period 2007-08. Dr. P J George, Project director, delivered the keynote address. Prof. E V S Namboodiri, Fr.Jose Tharappel, Mr.Vishnu Narayanan B, Mr.James Ponnolly, Mr.Abin George, delivered the felicitations.

The inauguration was followed by the interactive session where SJCET Alumni from the first three batches shared their experiences. The cherishing memories of their golden days were an exciting experience for the listeners. The General body was the next item in the Agenda. The meeting decided to elect the following office bearers for the year 2008-09.

      During the meeting Mr. John Britto Antony, Who secured the first rank in 2008 B tech degree examinations (AEI) was awarded a cash prize and memento.    The Music album "sixth module" brought out by the joint effort of the SJCET music club and the Alumni Association was also released during the meet. Alumni association congratulates the team who worked hard behind the curtains, especially Rev. Fr. Jose Tharappel and Mr. Peter Mahesh.  The college magazine, Reflections 2008 was released during the meet. Also the copies were distributed to all the Alumni.


       The meeting came to an end with a sumptuous lunch. College bus departed from the campus by 1.30 pm.

FIRST EVER SJCET ALUMNI MEET

       The first ever Alumni Meet of SJCET was held on 26^th of December 2007. Nearly hundred alumni from 2006 and 2007 graduating batches attended the gathering. Principal Dr. C.J. Joseph welcomed the gathering .In his Key note address Project Director, Dr P.J .George emphasized the importance of the Alumni Association for the development activities of the college. Rev. Fr. Jose Tharapel, Bursar of the college and Prof. EV.S.Namboodiry, HOD of ME department felicitated the gathering. Mr. Davis Jose, Mahindra & Mahindra , Nasik, of 2006 batch ME and Mr. Feby Jose, Engineer , MM TV, of 2006 batch AE&IE also spoke on the occasion. The office bearers of the Association were elected during the meeting. Mr. Jose Philip proposed the vote of thanks.

       The meeting was followed by a session during which the alumni shared their experiences. Then, the award winning 'StarWars' television team of the College led by Mr. Suvin Das, presented a Cultural Programme, which was widely appreciated by all present.In the afternoon, Chapters of the Association were formed for Bangalore, Chennai, Kochi and Trivandrum. Representatives of the Chapters to the Executive Committee of the Association were also elected. Thereafter, interested participants went on an excursion to Ayyampara, in the scenic heights of the Western Ghats.The following Executive Committee of the Association was formed during the Meet:
