CENTRE FOR CONTINUING EDUCATION

The Centre for Continuing Education (CCE) at SJCET Palai was established in October 2008 with the objective of coordinating various Continuing Education, Quality Improvement and Curriculum Development Activities of the college. 

VISION

To develop into a centre of excellence for professional training of engineering teachers as well as technology managers and engineering professionals from Industries and R&D organizations

MISSION

To offer regularly continuing education programmes and other services of high quality and relevance for the faculty of SJCET and other engineering colleges as well as people from industry and R&D establishments.

We propose to achieve the mission by:

• Identifying and selecting a team of experts from various disciplines of engineering and areas of specialization from SJCET, neighbouring colleges, R&D organizations and industries.
• Developing course notes and other training materials for identified programmes.
• Offering short term courses and other training programmes during semester breaks and other suitable periods.
• Selecting and sponsoring faculty members and other staff  of SJCET for  upgrading their expertise, qualifications and capabilities .
• Establishing good relations between SJCET, other engineering colleges, R&D organizations and industries.

Short term training programs (STTP) at SJCET
Faculty members can organize Short Term Training Programmes (STTPs) of 1 week to 3 weeks duration sponsored by AICTE/ISTE or fully funded by the college. The participants can be from the host institution, other engineering colleges, industries, R&D organizations, government departments as well as Arts & Science Colleges.

Short term training programs (STTP) outside SJCET
Faculty members of SJCET can attend Short Term Training Programmes (STTPs) organized by other AICTE approved engineering colleges and institutions.

Quality improvement programmes (QIP)
Through this programmes, faculty members of SJCET can upgrade their qualifications by taking M.Tech and Ph.D  from various QIP centres in the country

Sponsored higher studies Programme
Through these programmes, faculty members of SJCET can upgrade their qualifications by taking M.Tech and Ph.D from prestigious institution including IITs and NITs with partial financial assistance from SJCET.

Conferences, Seminars and Workshops
Faculty members can organize National/International seminars/conferences/workshops by  involving or inviting or incorporating experts from industries, R&D organizations and other institutions within India and abroad. They can also attend such seminars/conferences/workshops organized by other institutions, industry and R&D organizations and present technical papers.
