SJCET enters into MoU with industrial automation company Yokogawa India Limited

Yokogawa Electric Corporation is a Japanese electrical engineering and software company, with businesses based on its measurement, control, and information technologies.St. Joseph’s College of Engineering and Technology (SJCET) has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Yokogawa India Limited (YIL).

The MoU that was signed on March 22, 2012 by Mahesh K., Deputy Manager, Customer Care, Yokogawa India Ltd., and C.J. Joseph, Principal, SJCET in the presence of P.J. George, Project Director, SJCET, and Abi P. Mathew, In-charge, Applied Electronics and Instrumentation Department, SJCET.

Yokogawa India Ltd. specializes in industrial automation and control, test and measurement systems has been engaged in cutting-edge research, securing over 700 patents and registrations, including the world’s first digital sensors for flow and pressure measurements.

The scope of cooperation under the MoU includes exposing students and faculty to the latest development in the industry, organising joint seminars, creating a platform for the students of the college to undertake project works at the premises of YIL, imparting training to the staff to keep them abreast of the developments in the technical domain area of YIL, and to establish a Centre of Excellence for process control equipments with the active participation of the company.
